It is not a question of love, but of necessity. In the face of pain and oblivion we will pursue truth either out of obsession or wholeness. One leads to psychosis, the other eclipses desire and fear altogether. In the end, after the rubble has been swept away, there may come a serenity, but it goes beyond the love most of us conceptualize, one marked by a hidden duality of hate. The Love with no inverse is a love one cannot utter, only know through a sublimation of the self into the infinite.
